Winstep Xtreme v25.7 Released!
July 29, 2025
-
An integrated workspace environment, Winstep Xtreme is a powerful suite of applications that merge incredible usability and performance with breathtaking eye candy.
This release adds full support for DBCS Asian languages and is packed with both modernized design and under-the-hood fixes, ensuring better performance, compatibility, and visual polish — especially on Windows 11 and international systems.
Be sure to check your settings and explore the new features after updating!
Please read complete change log below. Winstep Xtreme runs on the 32 and 64 bit versions of Windows 7, 8.x, 10 and 11.
If you were asked to update to version 25.7 twice within a short period:
After the official release, a critical bug was identified affecting certain systems. Specifically:
Right-click context menus may fail to appear in some cases.
Minimized applications might disappear from the Windows taskbar or task list.
The second download is the fixed re-release addressing these issues.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

Native Windows Peek is now used when mousing over live preview thumbnails.
Balloon tooltips now include app icons, improving clarity and visual association.
